Christine Hall: Owner and Founder of Thrive, Certified Personal Trainer, Trx Coach, Sports Nutritionist, Indoor Cycling, Life Coach
Christine loves, loves what she does. She considers herself VERY lucky to be able to help and inspire people to be their absolute best.
She was a chubby kid, the last to be picked for gym class, and the last one to finish running. She hated running. Her life changed when her Mom died, and she was only 13. She continued to gain weight afterwards, comforting herself through her heartbreaking loss.
She eventually started doing the gym thing after University, losing about 40lbs. She wouldn't say she loved exercise at that point, but things changed once she had her daughter Macie. She gained 51 pounds in her pregnancy, and was completely overwhelmed with Motherhood. Not having a Mom to turn to for advice, she joined a Mom and baby stroller run group to find others she could share the struggles with. That changed her life. Running gave her freedom to still maintain her identity as Christine, and she ran away from the overwhelm of being a new Mom. Shortly thereafter, she had 2 devastating losses: her brother to suicide, and her Dad to stroke complications. She initially ran to run away from the grief, but soon realized how running made her so happy. She would come home from a run, and feel energized and have more patience, making her a better Mom and Wife!
She decided that she wanted to help others realize that they could not just survive after grief and loss, but that they could actually THRIVE. And that it's actually ok to have a great life, and not feel guilty about it. Realizing that life is truly too short, she wanted to help others live life to its fullest. She became a Certified Personal Trainer in 2011, and the rest is history. She has not only helped thousands of people get fit, but it's the way how she does it: her love for life is infectious, and she will be your biggest cheerleader. Life can be tough, and she has had her share of challenges, but her positivity and encouragement will empower you to be the best you can be, for YOU.

Sue Baxter: Certified Personal Trainer, Kinesiologist, Holistic Nutritionist, Indoor Cycling
I have been very lucky to have worked in the fitness industry for many years. I have taught many, many classes and worked with all sorts of people of various ages and skill levels. I grew up in this very community, moved away to go to school and live life and now I am back raising my 2 kids in the very same house I grew up in. I am so excited to be back!! I have so many great memories of growing up in White Rock, I can only hope to create those same feelings for my kids. I believe in the power of fitness and feeling good. There is nothing like a good workout in a positive environment to turn your day around. We live in a world where things move fast and we are responsible for way too many things. I believe that one of the most important responsibilities is to care for yourself through having fun, exercising and eating healthy.
Jacqueline Todd: Certified Personal Trainer, Indoor Cycling, Certified Bootcamp
I fell in love with fitness and sports from a young age. As a kid I had to play and be on all the sport teams! I excelled in competitive swimming and worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor in high school. While studying sport sciences, and nutrition at Douglas College I managed two She’s Fit-Club 16 Trevor Linden fitness clubs, where I decided I needed to certify myself as the ultimate personal trainer! I started training independently and ran outdoor boot camps at local parks and recreations in Port Moody, BC. My husband and I decided to move to Langley and that’s when I found Christine and Thrive!! I have been personal training for the past 10 years living the dream! I love creating fun and new workouts for my clients! I guarantee I will get you to reach and maintain your health and fitness goals!
Meghan Crawford: Certified Personal Trainer, Kinesiologist, Indoor Cycling, Sports and Conditioning Specialist
Growing up right here on the peninsula, I was active in most sports in town. This lead me to pursue a Human Kinetics degree from UBC and subsequently begin my practice as a athletic performance coach. To expand my toolkit, I also pursued various designations which lead me to work as a kinesiologist and in a cardiac rehab setting, while coaching various group exercise classes along the way. I’ve always been interested in developing my own physical strength and I am passionate about helping others discover theirs as well. From personal experience, I am a huge proponent for the mental health benefits of maintaining an active lifestyle as every time we get the blood pumping we keep our brains happy as well! In addition to weight training, I like to stay active playing baseball, tennis and hitting the ice on occasion. I am so fortunate to be back in my hometown helping to create a happy, healthy community!
LISA STOROSHENKO: CERTIFIED YOGA INSTRUCTOR
Shauna Cooper: Certified Personal Trainer, TRX Instructor, Indoor Cycling
I got into personal training after seeing what a difference it made to my life. The million-dollar feeling I get after a challenging work out, the sweat, laughs, and genuine care I received from my personal trainer helped me become a better person. My journey started five years ago, at a much heavier physical and mental state. At the beginning, it was difficult to even get to the gym. Though slowly over time things started to click, where I looked forward to my next workout and couldn’t wait get that feeling of accomplishment and burst of happiness in my brain! Along with the help from my personal trainer, I trained myself to not only be physically stronger and over 55 pounds lighter, but mentally stronger as well. It was then that I had decided that I wanted to provide the same opportunities and gifts that I was given. Today, I am constantly educating myself to be the best trainer and promoter of a healthy lifestyle and, simply, making you feel great inside and out! Personally, I am getting married in 2018, currently residing in White Rock, and living life to the fullest!
Tobey Booker: Certified Yoga Instructor
As a child I was never an athletic kid, I was overweight and struggled to cope with stress. In high school my weight fluctuated along with my unhealthy habits. In my early 20’s I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. I finally understood part of the root cause of the struggle that I had with weight fluctuation, fatigue and generally feeling of unwell. Once sorting out my nutritional needs, I had so much more energy and began to navigate life much differently. I realized I actually enjoyed being active!
I discovered Yoga when my doctor suggested I try it for stress relief. To my surprise Yoga helped. A Yogi planted the seed that there was more depth to it then just stress relief. A few years later after leaving my career in special education, I pursued several loves – Yoga and Stand Up Paddle-boarding. I completed my 200H Kirpalu Yoga Teachers Training at Trinity Yoga Centre in 2012 and added Prenatal Yoga in 2013. I also completed my Certification with Paddle Canada as a Stand Up Paddleboard Instructor and Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga Instructor.
In 2014 my husband and I were blessed with our beautiful daughter. Recovery from the birth and weight gained through pregnancy was tremendously challenging. I believe in consistency - being active and eating right for my needs. I reached out for support, set a goal and one day at a time it’s paying off.
I feel that life is an amazing gift and feel very blessed. I live and play on Canada’s beautiful West Coast. I have a support system in my husband, circle of friends and community that is beyond what I would have dreamt possible. I love supporting others to pursue what they love, I believe that they can attain what they hope for, not just in their physical well being, but their hearts and their lives. Small shifts create big changes and anything is possible.
