I love to help women in their 40's who are stressed out and overwhelmed with how to live a healthy lifestyle, to create small weekly action steps so it becomes a part of your life! Life can be so busy and stressful, but it's so important to move your body regularly and eat well so you CAN do all of the things you need and WANT to do! 

I used to be an overweight and inactive child and teenager, who ate for comfort and to bury the grief I had losing my Mom at only 13 years old. I ate a LOT of McDonalds, and other fast food meals, even through University. Things changed for me once I moved to the West Coast, as I saw that everyone seemed to embrace an active lifestyle. People were even running in the rain(and they looked happy!). I was intrigued, and thought that if they could do it, maybe I could too?

I started working out sporadically, and finally tried running. It was so HARD. But, after I had my daughter, it became a lifeline for me. I wanted to maintain my identity as Christine, and not just lose myself in being a new Mom. Slowly but surely running became my passion, and helped me once again navigate more grief, in losing my Dad to stroke complications, and then my 44yr old brother to suicide.

After the birth of my son, I decided to pursue my Personal Training certification. I realized that if I could change my own life in such a drastic way, that I could help others too! Moving my body was HUGE for my mental health, and helped me manage anxiety and stay positive in challenging times!

My part-time PT 'side job' turned into a full-time gig! I LOVED helping clients seek the change that they wanted, and accomplish their goals.

Eventually I took a huge leap of faith, and opened up my own boutique fitness studio, Thrive Movement Studio in 2016. I have loved helping thousands of women in a studio setting over the years, and still do! But then COVID happened, and 3 years of forced closures really challenged my business. We were thankfully able to stay alive thanks to our wonderful community, by pivoting online.

In Feb 2022, I had a freak ski accident in Whistler and ruptured both of my achilles tendons. I was in wheelchair for 2 months, and non-weight bearing with 2 aircast boots for 3 months. I not only couldn't work, but I couldn't move the way I had become so used to. I focused on what I COULD do, so I did my physio exercises consistently and I did upper body and core strength exercises for my mental health. Months later, I even had to learn to walk again! To keep me mentally sane, I decided to take a health coaching course I had my eyes on for years before my accident. I loved it, and now here I am!

My goal is to help women feel better and stronger in their bodies and prioritize themselves so they can do all the things they need to do, and well! It doesn't have to be super hard and overwhelming. There's so much 'noise' out there in the health and wellness space and on social media and it can be so confusing to know where to start! I help you to pick what you want to work on first and together, we build a sustainable action plan that will get you to where you want to be on your own terms!

Work with me to unlearn unhealthy behaviours and equip yourself with the micro-habits, skills and tools to grow into your absolute best selves.  


 

I can help you improve, through small weekly actions:

  • Your nutrition. I work with you to create REALISTIC and doable habits(no diets!) so you learn how to eat more nutrient-dense foods and minimize processed foods. We work on the what, when and hows' of eating so you can finally feel confident about what you are eating and feel BETTER.

  • Your exercise plan. And if you don't have one, we can start you off slowly so you can build a routine that fits into your LIFE. Our health coaches are also Certified Personal Trainers with over 12 years of experience, and have worked with all ages and levels. We can help you move your body more regularly in a safe way so you get healthier and stronger!

​

  • Your sleep. Get better quality of sleep so you can wake up feeling refreshed and not exhausted. We work with you to find out WHY you might not be getting proper sleep, and equip you with strategies so you can see improvement and have better focus throughout the day.

​

  • Your stress levels. If you feel overwhelmed and exhausted, it's a sign that you have too much going on! We can work with you to reduce your stress levels and improve your tolerance to stress so you can be happier and have more energy!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

We start with a 1 hour initial consultation, where we discuss your current health and lifestyle, so we can figure out together what you'd like to work on.

We then decide how much support and accountability you need and meet via ZOOM weekly or bi-weekly.

You'll have an action step that YOU decide you want to do, and we help you follow-through so you see success!
